SEMA 2018 – Part 1

Adam and his wife Lynn had arrived at Las Vegas safely and were looking forward to the SEMA show. As promised we have been sent the first batch of photo’s, but we are obviously going to be a day behind due to the time delay. As there are a lot of photos, we will start outside and work our way in, apart from the first pic here, which is Adam at his favourite car show, followed by Lynn posing with a couple of big trucks.

A glorious day as most days are in Las Vegas which didn’t disappoint the crowds starting to turn up to the show.

And of course the batch of Mustangs outside;

Perhaps the most important car there at SEMA? The original Bullitt ‘Hero’ car that the legend Steve McQueen actually drove in the film, which was recently discovered and now doing the car show circuit.

The other equally as famous Mustang is Ken Blocks ‘Hoonigan RTR v2’

Inside the great halls;

It wasn’t long before the ‘celebs’ wanted to have their selfies taken with Adam and Lynn!

Adam’s routine each year is to go straight to the Ford stand. He can catch up with some old friends and catch up on the latest news and insider info.

A car that was getting a lot of attention was the drag strip ready ‘Cobra Jet 50th Anniversary Edition’ with only 68 being made. The car has at ‘least’ 700bhp, but rumoured to be closer to the 1,000bhp mark – with a 1/4 mile at around 8 seconds. All this could be yours for $130,000 + extra for badges and graphics! Tha’s IF you can get hold of one in the first place. We think for that type of performance, that is not a lot of money for that car! Especially if you think how much people pay for their custom drag strip cars to try and go that quick. Best of all, this is a Ford (rather special) out the box car, built just for the straight line blast!

It’s also rumoured that Adam had all his beer free for the day as well! Knowing Adam – it’s true. 🙂

Cheers!

We will bring you the next installment tomorrow in ‘Part 2’

  1. Some great pics, and I agree with important car being the Bullitt car. As for Adam getting freebies? Yep it’s gotta be true. 😂👍
